There were quite a few "flower accessories" sold in this market - and I'm sure this would be the case at other flower markets as well. This one, for example, is kind of a stand which can hold a bunch of flowers at its top..

These tuberoses seemed to have been abandoned by their seller, perhaps because they were no longer as fresh as some others.. lying quietly in a corner, to me they appeared so beautiful, calm and serene i could not have missed them..
Will be glad to hear your comments..
BTW,Tuberoses in Hindi are called Rajnigandha (derived from the two words - Rajni, meaning night, and Gandha meaning smell/ fragrance in this case. I guess the fragrance of these flowers is strongest at night). Well, there seems to be no direct translation between the names in the two languages :)

Marigold is a very popular flower in India. Large quantities of the flower are used to prepare garlands and used for decorations in festivals, weddings and religious events.

my wifey - too fond of flowers - enjoyed her time at the flower market while i was clicking away to glory :) in between i gifted her roses and daisies :)

she saw me clicking her and seemed both shy and happy about it :) i had clicked a few flower vendors at the market - i'll try to print those pictures and give a copy to each one of them on a future trip..

bunch of gorgeous red roses ready to be sold.. i liked the contrasting colors in this picture offering an overall nice balance.. your comments are most welcome!
